Think about all those expensive pieces of furniture that are at risk. At the same time, it makes a lot of sense to do basic due diligence to ensure that you are not over paying for the pest control in your house.

What are the factors that determine the cost of termite treatment?

There are several factors becaause of which the termite treatment cost for your home may be more or less than that for your neighbor. Some of the most importnat factors include the size of your home, the build of your home, extent of termite infestation in your home. The type of the termites i.e subterranean and dry wood termites impacts the cost of the entire process as well.

You have no control over the above factors. However the 2 most important factors of the cost are at your discretion. These two factors are the quality of the  termite control company that employ and the chemicals that are used in the process. It may look like one particular pest control company is a lot more reasonable compared to the others. However they may be employing inexperienced professionals or they may be using cheaper chemicals.

Why the cheapest termite control company is not the best?

I am an old member of the value for money school. However please do not forget about the value part while selecting a company for doing termite control in your home. In case of termite control the value is a termite free home that wil ensure that your furniture will be safe even after months and a safe and chemical free home.

Most of the companies that promise to complete the process for a fraction of the cost, tend to cut corners. In the process they tend to employ people will less experience. That may result in an imperfect termite control which may leave some termites back. They will attack your house in next few months thereby necessitating another round of termite control.

The other way companies bring down the termite treatment cost is by using cheap chemicals. Many of these cheap chemicals tend to leave residues even after the process if over. This may be extremely dangerous especially if you have kids or pets in your family.
